Smiling Volunteers

Make it True

At it's core, real estate is really about community and helping people. We all want to make a difference in the world, but sometimes we don't know how to help, or feel there's nothing we can do.

Luckily for us, the South Shore is home to a lot of really amazing organizations that are working hard to make life easier for so many.  Here you'll find lots of opportunities to find and learn more about these organizations, discover how you can help them on their missions, and take your passion for making a difference and MAKE IT TRUE!

Weymouth Food Pantry

Unfortunately, 1 in 3 residents struggles to afford food. Weymouth Food Pantry is doing their part to end hunger.

I recently visited Weymouth Food Pantry Warehouse at 40 Reservoir Park Drive in Rockland to chat with Executive Director Pam Denholm. With three pop up pantries in Weymouth, they distribute more than 840,000 pounds of food per year to residents in need.

Learn more about the great work they are doing in the community, and how you can donate time, funds or services to help them on their mission.

Talking Information Center

TIC, located at 130 Enterprise Drive in Marshfield, is a radio reading service for the blind, visually impaired, and print impaired people across the South Shore. I recently met with Executive Director Jacqueline Porro to discuss the amazing work that TIC does, and how they are always looking for reading volunteers.

If you are interested in learning more about this great organization and perhaps volunteering some time to pop in and record, head on over to their website.
